Intercontinental Track Calendar
In first year, Intercontinental students cover the foundations of business during Terms 1 and 2 combining courses in English and in French at the Nice campus. In Term 3, they take courses in North America (New York or Toronto) from May to July depending on the exchange.
In Term 4, students launch their master level with courses in Asia (Beijing or Nagoya) from late September through early December. They return in term 5 and 6 to the Nice Campus where they join the English Track programme from January to June.
The English Track has been designed to give students technical and conceptual practice in all the management disciplines plus an enriching array of cultural and linguistic courses and seminar. All courses are taught in English.
Gap Year Facts and Figures
In 2006/07, 30% of EDHEC's intercontinental track students did their internship outside France. Europe was the post popular destination accounting for half of these students while Asia was the second most popular. While audit and banking were the sectors of activity in which most students found an internship, other fields represented include I.T., Consumer Goods and Governmental/ International Organisations. Marketing, Audit and Finance were the three most frequent job functions of the Intercontinental Track students, amounting to nearly 60% of all positions.
In their final year of study, Intercontinental Track students embark on an exchange programme on a third continent not included in the previous exchanges and choosing from a wide array of partners. The third year academic exchange can take place between September and March or between January and June depending on the particular exchange agreement. This period is referred to as T7 and T8.
In the case of students who take a sandwich year abroad on a third continent (not included in the exchanges in Term 3 and 4), it is possible to validate the third continent requirement by that internship and then follow one of the Master of Science programmes in Term 7 and 8 on the Nice campus in the double diploma format.
Please note that the double diploma track for an MSc programme will involve additional fees. Additional GMAT scores and application forms apply.
In their final year of study, students may choose either to follow an MSc course in Nice, or benefit from one of the numerous agreements with international partner institutions. These international exchanges can lead to a double degree (the EDHEC, Master in Management and the degree of the partner institution).
