Why Choose the Intercontinental Track?
Because travelling forms the mind! In North America and Asia, I discovered cultures which we only know about in Europe through stereotypes. But I mainly learnt about myself. Far from our normal everyday habits and environment, we see ourselves in a new light. This experience confirmed my belief that, as a Franco-British student, a multicultural work environment is right up my street!
EDHEC Intercontinental Track is unique. All business schools offer courses abroad, but none of the others give you the opportunity to take part in several short high-quality exchanges, worldwide, from Schulich in Toronto, one of the world's top business schools, to the CUFE in Peking, the first Finance and Business School created by the central Chinese government. The programme also gives students the opportunity to do a placement gap year abroad in the third year, and the possibility to obtain a double degree in the final year from renowned institutions throughout the world.
Globalisation is not just a concept. It is day to day reality with the choices you make as a business school student. Although I want to work in the field of human resources - a function that is quite difficult to export from one entrepreneurial culture to another - I also wanted to develop an international profile. China, for example, is going to be facing unprecedented challenges to retrain its workforce, and I would like to be able to work with companies with a very different HR development culture, through joint-ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and international mobility...
In the future, we will have to use our skills in a market where competition is global, and what more logical way to develop these skills than by joining the Intercontinental Track? It is a unique and truly intercontinental experience!

"I realise how beneficial the Intercontinental Track has been to me and how valuable it is in the eyes of recruiters. I had no problem finding a suitable internship and am currently Sales Executive for ASC Fine Wines in Shanghai, China's leading wine importer and distributer. My director wants me to stay longer...."
